New Chai lattes land at Costa Coffee
You’ve asked us to bring Chai powder back, and we took it a step further by adding two flavours to our menu for you to enjoy!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Chai Latte, here’s a description for you. The typical drink is made with spiced tea concentrate and steamed milk, making it the perfect warm choice for the cold days that are ahead of us!
A Chai Latte wouldn’t be what it is without its blend of spices! Our new Chai powders contain all the essential freshly ground organic spices to give the drink its trademark warm and spicy, yet subtly sweet taste. These spices include nutmeg, ginger, black pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, cayenne and turmeric.
Here at Costa, we always want to offer variety to our customers, and that’s why we’ve replaced our Chai syrup with not one, but two delicious David Rio Chai powder mixes!
The Tiger Spice Chai is a creamy mixture of black tea and premium spices, including cinnamon, cardamom and clove. If you’re looking for the classic mix, this is the option we’d suggest.
The Elephant Vanilla Chai has all the ingredients of the classic Chai, with an additional Vanilla twist. Being slightly sweeter, this mix mellows the rich spicy flavour of the original chai mix, making it the perfect option if you prefer more of a subtle spicy kick in your latte.
